The waves roll in and the waves roll out, keeping a constant rhythm in the lake, but sometimes the winds roll in and the water changes everything. October 27, 2017 produced a whooper of a storm on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Check out the aftereffects -still telling a powerful story 8 months later. Explore evidence of amazing force, the uncovering of layers of human activities, and clear messages of how far the waves can reach, and what water can move. Meet at the Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. Be prepared with sturdy shoes to walk on the rocky beach during our exploration! Free but $5 parking fee for non members.
