If you fish in the streams, rivers and lakes in the Arrowhead, with a fly rod for trout you won’t want to miss this presentation.

Northeastern Minnesota streams, rivers, and lakes support a valuable recreational fisheries for cold-water trout species in addition to walleye, northern pike, and perch. Climate change is rapidly altering the habitat of these fish and the MN DNR is working to identify and preserve vital and resilient cold-water habitats and refuges.

Join Dean Parone, DNR Fisheries Supervisor for the Finland Area, as he describes how the DNR is monitoring the effect of climate change on North Shore streams. He will also describe how management of these streams is changing to protect the North Shore fisheries into the future.
