Minnesota Point- Life in and on the Sand

July 20, 2018 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Minnesota Point SNA

Explore one of the longest freshwater sand spits on earth.  What thrives on a sand spit? How do they make it here in the land of wind and waves? There are some surprising natives in this unique habitat. Come have a look around in this unique world. Free.

Meet at the parking lot by the airport where the road ends on Minnesota Point. Close-toes shoes are a good idea as there is poison ivy along portions of the trail.

Funding for this program is provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).
