Climate change and Lake Superior will be presented from the perspective of what the climate projections indicate and what climate action can be taken. Climate action, i.e. climate mitigation (how we reduce our contribution to carbon emissions) and climate adaptation (how we prepare for the projected changes) can support resilience in the the Lake Superior region. Resilience is a buzz word these days–we will explore why it is a great term to capture the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change. Minnesota Sea Grant’s Resilience Specialist, Tom Beery is our speaker for this fascinating talk.
