The second half of August may not feel like the end of summer, but for many birds it is. The young are fledged and learning their way around the bird world, and many are already on their first migration south. Let’s explore and see who’s in the area, who’s passing through, who’s still building up an energy supply for the voyage south. Lot’s going on in the bird world this time of year.
Meet in the parking area at Sugarloaf Cove and be prepared to carpool to other nearby locations for a morning bird exploration. We will plan to return to Sugarloaf by 11:00 am.
$5 per person payable on day of event.
