Life on the Edge at Sugarloaf Cove - June 25 @ Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center | Schroeder | Minnesota | United States

Living on the Shores of Lake Superior is not an easy task, but the plants and animals that live there are experts in making do. Did you know that some of the plants on Lake Superior’s shore are native to places hundreds of miles away? How do those huge (and not so huge!) cedars that may be hundreds of years old, get the nutrients they need rooted in the rocks? Amazing adaptations! Join us to explore the rocky world of North Shore shoreline and it’s incredible and unique inhabitants. We’ll see where they come from and what they do survive life on the rocks! Meet at the Sugarloaf Visitor’s Center with sturdy shoes for rock exploration.

Funding for this program is provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).
